San Francisco, Calif. - July 15, 2008 - Pure Verticals, Inc., a leading solutions provider in the social networking and user-generated content space, today announced the alpha launch of their patent-pending Monetization of User-Generated Content (MUGC) platform known as "Mugzy."

The Mugzy platform allows content creators and site owners to place relevant and highly targeted advertisements and product endorsements within user-generated content, and receive a percentage of each transaction or ad engagement.

By using Mugzy, content creators can place relevant product endorsements and video advertisements in their video and text content. Through the product endorsements, visitors can purchase products directly from the user-generated content they're viewing, and the site owner/operator, vendor, and Mugzy user all share in the revenue from the completed sale. A cost-per-click (CPC) model drives video advertising engagements, as advertisers agree to pay Mugzy users for each ad click through.

Vendors, retailers and advertisers can participate in the Mugzy process by uploading products and advertisements through Pure Verticals' BrandBazaar (http://www.brandbazaar.com/), which includes tools for advertisers to create business rules for inclusion and an approval process to provide brands with protection against their message appearing alongside content they find inappropriate.

Mugzy is currently in use on three of Pure Verticals' own social networks:
     IPTVRecipes.com - for food and cooking enthusiasts and professionals
     IPTVEvents.com - for amateur and professional party planners and event coordinators
     IPTVMMA.com - for mixed martial arts enthusiasts and professional athletes

Each of these vertical social networks offer users the opportunity to create, upload, edit and share relevant content, interact with members of the community and utilize the MUGC platform to add category specific products and services to their content.

In addition to implementing Mugzy on these sites, Pure Verticals is currently working to create relationships with large social networks and virtual communities, as well as user-generated content destinations that are seeking new methods to monetize their content.
